Decca Years

In 1942 Lady Ella left the jazz band for her own solo career in musicianship, which she calls her "Decca years". During the Decca years to her new label, she was apart of the Webb's Orchestra, and had several hits while recording with "Billy Kenny & The Ink Spots, and also "Louis Jordan and the Delta Rhythm Boys". Be-bop started to become a trend for both Ella and the Swing industry, hence why Fitzgerald's singing style started to alter throughout the era of music. She married Benny Kornegay, in 1941, but he died shortly after two years later. Even though it effected her greatly when it came to her emotions, she still drives for success in her career. A couple of years later, Ella remarried, his name was Ray Brown, and they had a child together, hence why his name is Ray Brown Jr.
