Verve Years

Wether it was heard on a movie or minor advertisement, Ella's talents shall be taken in consideration, and maybe one day, talent like hers shall inspire younger generations to carry the roots from whence "The First Lady Of Song"sang her final note. By 1955, she left Decca and went straight to Verve Records as her own manager and started to produce from there. She was going through a Be-Bop phase, and couldn't help but to sing in such a fashion. Soon after, she released a new album, in 1956, called "Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Cole Porter Song Book". It became another hit, and the charts were racked setting sail for her career even further. She toured 40-45 weeks per year in America. By then she bought a place in Klampenborg, district of Copenhagen Denmark in the year of 1961. Later in life, she suffered with diabetes as the years went by. in 1985, she was hospitalized for respiratory problems, a year later, congestive heart failure, afterwards, in 1996, she died of Mellitus Diabetes. Her duration of her career was from 1934-1994 .
